Inquiring Minds camp
About this program
Inquiring Minds is a series of courses for high potential students in Years 5-6 who are attending public schools in the New England area. Students work with expert mentors in a specialist field of interest while at camp. Itis one provision that schools and students can use in order to meet some of the needs of identified high potential and gifted students.
Activities
Activities will depend on the expert mentors chosen for the camp. The Information Pack delivered to schools in early 2026 will have an overview of the courses that will be on offer.
Important information
This program will be delivered once throughout 2026:
- Tuesday - Wednesday 31st March - 1st of April 2026 (Term 1, Week 10)
Information packs and nomination forms will be sent to schools in early 2026, to begin the selection process for students.
This program is designed to cater for students from multiple schools. Please note that program capacity is capped at 40 students in total. Each school is able to nominate a maximum of 6 students per date.

| Extreme or wet weather |
Program may be modified, postponed or cancelled due to predicted extreme temperatures, bush fire danger, heavy rainfall, high winds or dust storms. Check the weather forecast for the Armidale area. |
| Medical notifications | Notify us by completing and returning the student welfare form at least one week before the excursion. This form will be sent out upon confirmation of booking. |
